Privacy policy

The general data protection regulations  adopted in 2016 and implemented since May 25, 2018 in each of the countries of the European Union, reinforce the French Data Protection Act of 1978.

By appointing a personal data protection officer (DPD / DPO), the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France undertakes to establish a relationship of trust with students, staff members, partners … including personal data are used by the different structures of the establishment.

Law of persons

Students, staff members and any other person whose data is processed by the university can exercise their rights with the contacts provided in the information notices when their data is collected, and with the delegate.
The request for the exercise of rights must specify the reason for the request and the contact details of the requester, who must prove his identity, either on site with the service concerned, or by sending proof (photocopy of the CMS card, or of a ID, …).

Obligation of persons implementing personal data processing

Since the application of the GDPR, the principle of declarative logic for the processing of personal data has been replaced by a principle of accountability. The data controller, represented by the President of the University, must demonstrate the compliance of the UPHF’s processing operations with regard to the “Informatique et Libertés” law.

From the design of a personal data processing project, the people in charge of its implementation must ensure compliance with the applicable regulations.
These people are generally responsible for departments, training and research components specific to the university. The data protection officer must be contacted as soon as the processing is designed, a declaration form is made available to initiate the compliance process.
