I lived in the Jules Marmottan Residence which is the newest student residence of the UPHF in Valenciennes located near the Mont Houy campus. You can expect a well equipped 18m² room with a private bathroom. As for the appliances, you can expect an induction stove with two plates, a sink and a small fridge in the kitchen area. You will find a bed (approximately 2m x 0.8m) with two spacious drawers underneath it. The closet is pretty large as well. The bathroom comes with a shower, a toilet and a mirror over the sink. You will have a large work surface where you can eat and study as well. The windows can be covered by curtains. Moreover, the residence offers a good wifi access to work online or to stream movies;)
The residence has two laundry machines and two dryers. If you bring a car or a bike with you, the residence has a parking garage in the basement of the building.
Because the residence is near the Mont Houy campus I advise you to take part in the sports activities. I enjoyed running around campus following the blue path along which you will find several sports parks where you can exercise in nature.
