Coming from a European Union country, I was able to use my debit card
without any fees when paying at a cash register. However when drawing bank
from my account fees get charged by the bank. Tip: if you want to withdraw
cash, do it with your friends and get a larger amount so you ca split the fees
and also only do it once in a while.
Another thing I did was to get a credit card. There are many different types so
just ask your home bank about it but make sure it will be valid and working
well here in France like Visa or Mastercard!
